I would have liked to hear how Parry and Wallace pronounced 'cafe'. I suppose either could have emphasised the pronunciation to 'cafay'.
On a police report (I think by Herbert Gold) he states that Beattie said the voice was gruff and that it was disguised...This is, to me, mischief making by the police to get a conviction. Beattie testified that the voice he heard was nothing like Wallace's...and that it would be a stretch of the imagination to think anything like that...
