On a side note it was great to see Wales win on Sunday v Scotland. Their style of rugby is always a joy to watch and the anthem at the Millenium Stadium is always a great spectacle (and sound!)

Excellent photos Ged :handclap:

b) Wallace intimated that...
Brilliant Ged. :handclap:

When I went to the Dickens Museum in Doughty Street London in 2004, there was memorabilia of Dickens' reading tours including those at St George's Hall.
Excellent Ged. I wonder if anyone managed to obtain those name plates!
Bill Morrison died on 7th December. He produced the Who Killed Julia? radio programme for City in 1981.

There was a murder in Waltham Road where 42 year old Gaynor McGlynn was stabbed to death. Waltham Road is the first on the right on Townsend Lane after Rochester/Lower Breck Road and barely a hundred...
Thanks Ian.
1953? I wonder if that is Amazon getting it wrong...I would certainly hope so...otherwise it doesn't look good for the book! I've seen Wallace's death listed as 1953 in several other...
My granddad was a big fan of Al Jolson.
Isn't there a plaque (or the like) in the Maritime Museum claiming that Jolson left for the USA from Liverpool?
Hi Ian
Yes you're right regarding the youngsters with Close. Their testimonies were that Close said 'a quarter to seven' and Close said he said 'between 6.30 and a quarter to seven.' I have always...
