When the book comes out this thread will be buzzing! I hope I get my book by the end of the month.

Well, 1427 posts when there hasn't been a new book for over a decade, i'm sure you're right burkhilly.
Not too sure if I'm still welcome here so will be brief: book is on the shelves in Waterstones from today. Thank you all for your patience.

Sorry - forgot to add: if you buy it and enjoy it I will do my utmost to meet and sign it for you.
John
You are still most welcome on the thread John. I've ordered your book from Amazon and am awaiting despatch.
However, if you name Mr Wallace as the murderer I shall be most put out - so be warned!!!
I will be getting it for sure.
Still waiting for a dispatch email from Amazon. Anyone got the book yet? Am going to town tomorrow so may go into Waterstones for a quick browse.
Going to get it on Saturday.
THE DEVIL IN THE DETAIL..just got my copy from W.H.SMITH(on pre-order..THANKS ROD!!)!! Having only read the Prologue & The Preface so far..its certainly well written & I dont recognise some of the illustrations. No telly for me tonight....IAN (FJumble)
Cancelled my online order, and went out and bought it at "full-whack" price at my local bookshop, Pritchard's. Mr P told me his auntie gets a mention in the book.
Read it cover to cover in one sitting....

You've read it already and no comment. That's plain cruel, come on spill the beans as to if you think Mr Gannon has solved the murder with any credibility.
Negative....

Celeriter Nil Crede
Are there any outlandish reasons why his findings can be dismissed as utter fantasy. Was there the proof offered that was advertised?
No, in fairness to the author I'll say no more until he's sold a few more copies...

Hi ROD...I'm a slow reader & the print is small..but I read the first 50 pages last night, before I fell asleep.JOHN has certainly put in a terriffic amount of research..the detailed background to some of the charcters is amazing(ie MARSDENS police relative escorting Crippen to London).I havnt got to the "meat" of the book yet,but I thought the treatment of the "QUALTROUGH" phone-call was very good...I have always assumed PARRY was just doing his usual trick & trying for a free call(or perhaps less likely ensuring that the time of the call was logged)but he obviously wasnt!!...more when I've read more....IAN
