wasn't this building home,or near to, some historic 19th century club/association,at one time?

Hi wsteve55. Not sure about historic clubs etc...but Lord Molyneux's house was on Lord St. presumably his town house after the castle was demolished. I've had a look on some of the maps, but doesn't seem to be recorded. Looking at the slope of the street, it could be on the north side [Doran's Lane side]?
