Nice looking pub. Not been in to sample its wares
Phew Zap, I used to go there twenty years ago and it was bad then. Just seemed a lumber house. I remember when I knocked around Salford in the bad old days, thay had a stunt with the pubs in the area. They used to arrange fights in a pub most nights, and after s few days see the boss. They told the boss they could make the trouble go away for a small fee. The fee in those days was about ?50 per week. All the pubs were paying. I knoe there were a lot of long frauds in a lot of the pubs that were looked after, but not been back for a while so don't know what happened.
A sad end to The Parkway, end of Mather Avenue.
You take them for granted - until one day they're gone!
And another bites the dust. Good pics Sirob.

Lindylou it is the supermarket beer prices that are closing the pubs down.
There are a few pubs in town who are always busy because they keep their prices reasonable. On holiday down south last week our local had a happy hour between 5 and 6 when they charged ?2,70 for a pint of Fosters,I don`t know what they charged in the sad hours. In the Midland by Central station it`s only ?2.00 all day and there is never less than a dozen people in it
