Thanks Taffy! I enjoyed the photo's, I used to visit the pub in the early 'fifties' to get to it you had to operate a 'swing' bridge over the canal. I thought that the pub was 'long gone'! glad to see it's still in existence. Cheers

Glad you and Max liked the photos. The swing bridge is now a permanent one but you still have to run the gauntlet of the unmanned railway level crossing. The pub has been flooded several times by the River Mersey which looked quite docile on the day I visited.
