    It is a fantastic photograph, although I think corky100 means Birkenhead Priory.

    Phredd, what's the story behind this photograph? Was it a special day excursion up the Manchester Ship Canal? Also when did the voyage take place?

    Chris it is a usual thing now for excursion from Liverpool to Salford and then a bus back to liverpool.
    They do a return trip with those from Manchester to Liverpool and then bus back to Salford.

    Last time a checked the site I think it cost about ?32 for the trip.

    The picture was taken last year from Wigg Island Community Park>; (the old ICI testing ground for Mustard Gas and other evil doings during and shortly after WW2).
