The kind of jokes you are referring to have been making the rounds for many, many years,- as you may be aware, - and most likely will continue to do so. Personally, I have heard many jokes about Canadians, but that doesn't bother me one bit, - I take them for what they are, just jokes to bring a smile or two, also about many other people, who also take them for jokes.
