Was that the homecoming where Emlyn Hughes claimed Liverpool were magic and Everton were tragic? Did you throw a few stones at him Ged?

It is Accomplished
Yes, he had to apologise for that as there were loads of blues there to see the first European cup homecoming. It's a wonder i'm not a red because when Lfc came back with the Uefa cup - I think 73 or 76 - one of them. The civic reception was in the Walker Art Gallery in the evening and with my dad working there I got to lift the big vase and meet Shankly and Keegan and all.
I was at the 74 homecoming that Greg's dad captured too, along with my blue mates.
Those tenements behind on the pic were where we lived so it was a lcoal event and if anything, the bloody crowds in William Brown st meant we couldn't play by the fountain or in St. John's gardens that evening, so it was natural to get in there and see what was going on.
Ditto.
Everything about it is good (even if I don't like spiders !)
a good pic and the colours are lovely.
Thanks LL and Taffy.
The colours come from the big screen.
It acts a bit like a torch.
The colours change depending on which of the same boring 3 adverts are on.
Anyway, it makes for more interesting night photos!
(Not bad for a 'hand-held' shot).

Superb photo Phil There are some really good photographers on this forum, and I for one appreciate the pics you all post. I can take photos, (who can't with a digital camera!) but nothing as good as those posted here. Well done all of you
Port of Liverpool building looking good after it`s recent cleaning. Just a few bits of scaffolding to move from the top

Great photos fellas
I remember when I was a child in Liverpool, all the streets had those 'setts, and they were murder to walk on. My mum had Infantile paralysis as a child (Now known as Polio) and always had a limp as a result. She took many a tumble on the setts, especially after heavy rain or in snow and frost. Lethal they were! I realise the ones at Albert Dock are new, but they still bring back memories.
The Port of Liverpool building looks great...positively sparkling in the sunlight
We've all gone spider mad, I have loved photographing La Princess over the weekend, so many pictures and a wonderful atmosphere around town. Here is a small file from last night.
Anita, that's excellent.
I love the way you've got "Empire Theatre".
Practically all my results were very disappointing,
and I couldn't manage to find a decent 'Spec'.
But I was there, and it was wonderful.
.
Thanks Anita. Good view of the spider ( shudder ! )
