Park Hospital was the Seamen's Orphanage which opened in 1864.
Queen Victoria stayed at the Judge's Lodgings in 1886 when she visited The International Exhibition of Navigation, Commerce and Manufacturers. The house had been built in the late 18th century as Newsham House.
