Craig Charles (Red Dwarf, Corry) was born and bred in Childwall, about 2 mins walk from the church. Loads of us used to knock about with him and his brother. His dad still lives in the same house.

For what it's worth, I don't think Simon's from Toxteth.
His family home was Howard Drive in Grassendale when he was in Brookside.
I don't know whether he was born and bred there, though.
