Thanks Chippie, that's cleared something up because another poster had said on another thread that they were further along from Northumberland Terrace but I was sure they weren't - thank you for confirming i'm not going mad.

Morning Mandy, the photo from the book is Cresswell Mount, my flat was top left. It didn,t have a club at the bottom but the first flats you put up did. They are two separate blocks. If you want pistols at dawn see my mam![]()
Right. Been doing a bit more digging.![]()
I got my info off the LRO who scribble the whereabouts on the back of the original photies in the search room, however, it further seems to be corraborated (that's a big word Ged) by page 125 of Freddy O'connor's a pub on every corner vol 4 and also on page 53 of my book No.2 (the green one), there is an aerial shot of Gt Homer st from 1986 before HAT bought any of the high rise and so before any demolitions and there doesn't appear to be any high rise that far South (until Rock View). The Braddocks of course stood on the opposite side of Nethy next to the Old Stingo pub.
Does anyone have any 1950/60s photographs of Garibaldi Street and also the area where Netherfield Road North and South meet around St Georges Hill.![]()

Hiya Mandy. Thanks for that link. The last 2 captions of Freddy's are wrong though. One is of Everton Brow with John F. Kennedy heights in the background. The last one is of Prince Edwin Lane flats.
Chippie, I have some of Garabaldi Heights on my website mentioned below.
Some more Nethy pics off an Orange lodge site (well i'm bored)
Notice the little viewing tower by the lock up.
