That place is one of the Best Pubs in Liverpool..Bar none.
The Lisbon, yeah. Feel most comfortable there, although I'll always have a soft spot for the Pilgrim...
I'm with you there -The Dispensary, Dr Duncans, the one in Allerton Road, I love all the Cains pubs. Its a strange coincidence that both the Dispensary and Brewery Tap were both called the Grapes in a previous life.
Thats sad to see. It was doing a roaring trade when I went past in 2004! Think I took an image of it back then too but that is in Northumberland. Will fish it out if possible when I go up there this week.
But that is sad to see as it really was what you could call a "Back Street Pub".
