Meanwhile, I was able to find out about the motto in the stained glass window. "Be just and fear not" is a quote from one of Shakespeare's lesser known plays, Henry VIII (my pic this time!):
Be just, and fear not:
Let all the ends thou aim’st at be thy country’s,
Thy God’s, and truth’s; then if thou fall’st, . . .
Thou fall’st a blessed martyr!
