I believe so, over here there have been dog thefts of Staffordshire Bulls. People reckon these are stolen for training the fighting dogs. Disgusting people, who do such things.

As for horse racing, I was always told, you watch a horse that's lost it's jockey - what does it do. It still jumps the fences. It's a horses natural instinct.
You're right regarding the contradiction by foxhunters - but the ironic thing is an extremely high number of foxes are killed by vehicles...It has nothing to do with pest control. There are many rural people who abhor foxhunting. It is a complete myth to suggest it is a 'town v country' thing. This is a smokescreen for a desperate group who are scraping the barrel.

Ah yes Ged, the unseated jockey argument...It is a horses instinct to run - it could be argued that they have had it driven into them. I tend to look at the fact that when you travel through the countryside, how many horses do you see 'running?' None whatsoever...They have been driven to it by us humans in the name of warfare and so-called sport. Admittedly, I'm sure the majority of people like your good self who watch and bet on horse racing don't want to see the animal dead unlike foxhunting.

As this thread is about fox-hunting, and foxhunting is BANNED there should be no more debate about it...

I think if you don't like fox hunting, might I suggest that you don't go to one.

I don't go to them. But they are outlawed and anybody who does take part in one is a criminal.

I don't think this law is being enforced though is it. To be honest, don't get too many of 'em in Wallasey.

You're not wrong there Pablo...Clarissa Dickson-Wright and Sir Mark Prescott pleaded guilty to hare coursing fairly recently and walked out of court...

I don't really agree with Hare Coursing, reckon that's why I don't go. What do they do with the dead hares. Spose there wouldn't be much left of 'em.

yes, you'd never see horses scrambling to clear ridiculously high jumps like those in the G. National. They wouldn't do that instinctively for fun !

Mark R.... Sorry but I love to hunt.
    It's hunting season now...Yippee!!

Hare coursing is good. Most of the hares escape.
As for hunting foxes....I'm all for that and I like most country sports.
You can be an animal lover and hunt.
