Heath Rd School
Hi Tippo! You must be near the same age as myself! I too left Gilmour Heath Rd in 1946, but the Headmaster then was 'Peg Leg' Simpson. I still have my leaving certificate signed by him, My class teacher was a Mr Corrin, 'Big Fella' and used to wield a mean cricket bat! on the field of course! And the old Bi-Plane was long gone way back in the 50s I believe, don't know where it went to.
The original owner of Heswells (Mr Heswell of course!) was a conservative councilor on the Liverpool City Council in those days. "So long ago"! so many memories! Cheers
