The Seaforth Hotel.
I assume this is the one from the location you give.
This view is from 1958. On the left are the sheds of Seaforth and Litherland railway station, behind are Bootle gas works and centre/back is Johnson's dyeworks. The pub is in the centre at the junction of School Lane. A former bank is at the other junction. In the forefront are railway sidings and a scrap yard. The scrap yard and low level railway line have gone and are now part of a modern car park and cut to Princess Way. The site of the pub is now a scrap yard. The bank and remainder of the block still stands whilst the gasworks tall chimneys have gone and Johnson's dyeworks has been considerably reduced in height.
