interesting street name signs

I first saw this over 8 years ago and had forgotten all about it until I went past it today. I personally can't recall seeing any others with the full post code on.

You do find them, don't you, qg?

I think I might have an answer for the postcode.
What building does it belong to?
I'd say a building which receives a lot of post.
Perhaps a Government department?
Or a mail order firm?
I suspect the 'XX' is only used for a particular reason, and this one is more for the benefit of the postmen than the public.

Then again, I could be completely wrong! LOL!
