Tell us more. What are we doing so good they want to copy? Comparison between Glasgow and Edinburgh? How does Liverpool fit in?
    The new Amsterdam at Liverpool?

Deprived of its unique dockland waters Liverpool
becomes a Venice without canals, just another city, no
longer of special interest to anyone, least of all the

canals to view its modern museum describing

Default Photo request! Liverpool Radium Institute.

Prior to leaving Liverpool in 1963 I drove the ambulance at the Liverpool Radium Institute, Thats the small hospital on corner of Hope St/Myrtle St., opposite the Philharmonic Hall. I wonder if anyone has a photo of this hospital that I could download ? "Thanks in anticipation" Cheers

In the words of the organiser ;The exhibition will focus on the zone which connects Glasgow and Edinburgh and will examine the historical and contemporary shifts that have shaped the Cenral Belt.
Part of this exhibition will be a comparitive study and for this we would like to use one of your images of Liverpool ie"Liverpool Skyline".
They did offer to pay me but as this affects my amatuer status I just asked for a byline

The Liverpool Radium Institute and Hospital for Cancer and Skin Diseases.
Foundation stone laid 23 November 1931. Architects: Rees & Holt.
I love this building, especially that staircase.
The older building is dated 1861.

Great they used it. However I fail to see how deep water Liverpool fits in with the inland connection between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
