It came as a bit of a surprise to find such a derelict building in this part of town.
Does anybody know if there's a story behind this?

I remember when an Esso station used to be where they're building those flats and then a temporary car dealer I think It was or car related anyway then they closed down.

On the corner where the new flats are there used to be a huge old pub building, it had not been used as that even when I lived around there from the early fifties. It had the name built into the brick, I can't remember what it was though. A car dealer, Bill Coxon used to sell cars from there, I think he owned the petrol station too. My first car came from there, that is it you see in my avatar.

Looks very similar to the Police station there.

Cheapside, probably the worst hotel in Liverpool. Only spent a few nights in it. Breakfast consisted of a mug of cold, sweet, milky, greasy tea and bread and butter with the slices the size of cellar steps.
