one thing baffles me about that Ribble pic. if that's the sausage works then the bus is going the wrong way for it to be Linacre Rd. if it was Linacre the bus would be city bound surely?
I think it's maybe Bridge Rd? The road to the right that the saus works is on would be Linacre Rd. Behind the bus would lead up to the Red Lion pub and the old lift bridge over the canal.
unless someone who knows the bus route from back then can confirm which way the bus went.
just found a pic online showing the saus works from Linacre Rd. works on the right so the Ribble pic is Bridge Rd.
know where to take pic from now.
