Did we get to the bottom of Ged's pub pic? I'll check the thread out again![]()
Great pics those Dave.
Great stuff! That's in Aintree isn't it? It's used now by a car breakers. I had to go there to get a new window for my old car (don't park in Stockport...) about a year ago, and turned the corner and was amazed by what I saw!
That place must've been amazing in it's heydey. I'm glad a lot of the buildings have survived, although I do wish it was all abandoned so I could sniff round there without being hassled!
there's a lot goes on her you don't know about.......
I speak scouse, eat scouse and drink Cains. Does that make me a scouser?
Great place...loads of local history but many local businesses still operating ...

A 1977 view of the gate in Dave's first photo. It was taken by the Walton Times and is located in Crosby Library.
Thanks for the pic Ged. Couldn't remember whether that building to the right of the pic was still standing when I took mine, so I go looking for my Hartley pics....and I can't find them now! Doin' my head in mate! I'll have another look later on.
