To acquire knowledge, one must study.
But to acquire wisdom, one must observe.
The error of the past is the wisdom and success of the future.
Hi Debra,
I am sure Ged would know the street but he would surprise me if he knew the family.
Cheers
Tony
Sorry, I don't know of them but do know that a Jim Moran had the grocers store on Hunter Street in the 1960s/70s (not that far from Virgil St) and could be James or a relation, or perhaps neither.
Hello Ron,
I have had a quick look on the free BMD site and found a marriage for James and Margaret for Dec 1907, 1911 census shows them living 40 Standish St with 2 children Mary ann b 1909 and James Christopher b 1911, further children from the BMD Thomas b 1913 Charles b 1915 John b 1919 mothers maiden name France.
Hi Dot,
Thanks for that. I have traced back that far and on the France side even further, its the father of James C Moran that I am trying to trace to get his mothers name. I have sent for his birth certificate so hopefully its the right one that will tell me more. What I do know is that his father was also named James Moran. I am hoping that there are some relatives of the people you mentioned out there who can give me some info also. Thanks for your effort's. Tony
