I am still a little saddened to see the Newsham Park on West Derby Road closed and boarded up...such a impressive building!

Apologies for the durge in updates!
These pubs are dropping like flies. I didn't spot Black Georges demolition had started. There was an old Snow White mural on the rear wall.
And now for some that are still open, the Royal Oak on Spellow Lane, shame about the colour.
And the Winslow on the corner of Winslow St and Goodison Rd, I remember
waiting to go into the boy`s pen at Goodison park when about 15 minutes before kick off 3 or 4 everton players would come running out from this pub to the players entrance which was opposite.

Hi everyone
Been looking through all of your photos and wondered if anyone has one of the Clock Vaults on Scotland Rd. My grandfather was the publican there sometime through the 40s/50s and I would love some info about it if anyone can help.
Thanks!
Do you know the number it was addressed at. I have a list of all the pubs that ever existed on Scottie but there are also the inevitable name changes along the way with some, for instance The Milton on the corner of Milton St was once known as the clock but not the clock vaults.
I don't I'm afraid. I did find it's name in a book of Scotland Road pubs once but no other info or photos. I'll see if my dad can remember the number and get back to you.
Thanks

I don't think the Pier Hotel near Hamilton Square station featured in a couple of the photographs has ever opened since the structure was rebuilt as part of an office block in the 1980s! it has just been an empty shell.
