Hello Yo :PDT11 I'm still alive (just about)
Thought I'd make a return to this thread since it's the one that got me interested in Yo Liverpool all those years ago! Went for a walk round the new...
I was underwhelmed by the new Smith's too, but after a day or two I thought, hang on, all I used to go in there was for magazines, books, cards or CD's. They've still got the few mags I bought,...
That's what I thought - thinking about it, I saw the Q Park logo sticking up above the rooftops from the Chavasse Park steps and thought it was the Hanover St one, but it may well be the Gradwell St...
I noticed yesterday, the Q Park logo is on the top of the old Hanover St carpark now. That place is a dump, I hope they do a good job of tidying it up.
Oh, and, it was me that put the link to YoLiverpool on the Wikipedia page :PDT_Piratz_26:
It's great to read from buggedboy that Church St isn't going to be completely deserted - I was wondering what would be left with so many of the big names moving "round the corner", especially the...
Hello strangers :PDT_Piratz_26:
Not posted on here for a while now (I was spending too long on the www and not enough on the "real world"!) but I thought I'd pop back to voice my opinion on...
I agree, the ones I've seen around town look tatty already. The ones on Duke St at least are semi-transparent, so they look faded and worn-out straight away.
Excellent pictures Mike, I think I'll be popping along to take a look at the finished model :handclap:
This place is a minefield of info I never knew was there to go asking about!
I think it looks ace as you come off the end of the M62 now, especially after dark. A shame though the blue neon line across the top of the flyover stops about three quarters of the way over to the...
Whether it's the biggest cathedral or has the biggest bells or whatever - it's such a magnificent building, and especially when you get late afternoon winter sunshine on it. I love the way it's so...

Resurrecting an old thread here - I came across this place last night - for the last ??? months, after dark, I've seen a brilliant blue light across the park from where I live. I always assumed it...
I thought it was brilliant :PDT_Aliboronz_24:
My vantage point wasn't so brilliant, there was a tree between me and most of the action  but I thought the setting of the show was superb,...
I would have loved to have gone, but it was already sold out by the time I found out it was on
Actually it's only July that leave's been cancelled, the Echo got it wrong by throwing June in there as well and riled a lot of people at work who thought otherwise and had holidays booked :unibrow:
I looked out the window at work last night, looking over towards Kings Dock, and with the recent new lighting it looks ace - blue lights around the edge of the roof shining down, lights coming out...
I feel the need to get someone in charge of the Concourse Tower area, grab them by the collar and shout "get on with it" .... :unibrow:
Has that all been uncovered or brightened up, or have I just never noticed it before?
I just watched a few loops of the Information TV stuff..... could be better
Maybe it's that I already know Liverpool, I know the attractions and events they're advertising already, but...
The ones that are due to be knocked down, like Concourse Tower - what are they waiting for? Give me a bulldozer and I'll do it for cheap :D
As for QPark - what's going on there - it's a brand new...
Good news. But I hope they do it properly. I'm very wary of the National Cycle Network routes, one of them in North Wales took me along the narrow pavement of the A55 (which might as well be a...
I thought that too, ironic eh!
I must say, when the bridge was being put together on the ground, I was sceptical, plain and simple structures usually look better than fancy designs which become an...
News from last month (16th Oct) which I'd missed
Source: BBC
It comes to mind, that the remaining shop owners only have their own £££'s in mind rather than the benefit of the city ... I don't see any other reason for wanting to keep the concourse...
