Great discussing it with you DC and lindylou too! I'd probably discuss it so much I'd have to be told to shut up :)
Here are some pics of the steps at the back /top of Letchworth Street & Sedley Street...
p.s. If you go to my flickr site they are better copies.
Can't remember whether I've posted this before - the Rawdon Library, Breck Road. Wallace use to frequent it.
no. 51 Sedley st where the dairy would have been. Alan Close the milk boy would have worked here.
There used to be access to the back of the buildings - we used to play around there when we were kids. The back area overlooks the swing park which still exists in Richmond Park.
Brilliant photos lindylou :handclap: Yes, that is where I think the dairy would have been. That building looks like it could have been but looks more modern - the brickwork on the front and back looks modern but the sides look original. But I believe you have the right place :handclap:
It wasn't still a dairy when I was growing up around there - but I do remember the back of the buildings - there was a cobbled area and some outhouses ( probably which would have belonged to the dairy). We used to go around the back of there to look over at the swing park :)
Mark, the Sedley st photos - keep them for your files if they are of any use to you.
