Union Court.
Our Dale Street offices landlords Beavan Maples used to be here so I'd have to take our rent cheque to them on my shipping round. I used to marvel at the fine interiors.

The interior of the Cornerstone building,this was once St Francis Xavier`s college buiding.
The last time I was in this building was 1951 when I was a pupil,think they have made an excellent job of it.
Great pics GD, the last time I was in the building was 66 and I was bloody glad to get out of it. It does look very classy though !

New Oxford House, Dale St. My ma worked here as a cleaner for the council as well as Pioneer Buildings along the street. Notice the sign for 'Hockenhall Alley leading to Cunliffe Street'. The Top Hat was next door.

Georgian Wolstenholme Square. Named after the local landowner of the same name, it was the first enclosed garden constructed in the city. The little tunnel you see which leads into Duke Street also has its own name, it is Tunnage Square.
