My mistake, my Kellys Directory is for 1938!
I forgot to mention, isn't "The Eagle" still open? I can't remember if that was Fail-me-never renamed or additional to the ones I mentioned.
btw the demolished pub at t'other end of Arley street, I believe, was the Non-Pariel.

Yes the Eagle is still open, was in there last week. The Eagle is on the corner of Blackstock st, the Fail me never was demolished for the Tunnel. The Non Pareil still stands on Marshalls Place but is derelict.

The Jamaica building is still there. Known locally at the Rat, the building is now empty. The Castle is still going as is the Green Man and the Eagle. The feathers was demol;ished as was the Queens just a few years ago .The Marble Hall is now a cafe and the Athol Vaults is derelict.
