I'd love to get the shots from there but I'm scared of heights. Oddly I have no problems with a window seat and enjoy flying. My mates went up there and showed me the 7 flights of stairs you have to climb. That looked scary. Stupid irrational fears. Dunno what I'm exactly scared of, but its very annoying.

I'm not too scared of heights. I'm not going to say I'd like to walk a tightrope across a sheer drop or something !! but I don't mind going up towers or on cable cars. ( I went on a very high cable car trip in Spain).
I went to the top of York Minster twice. :)

Cracking pictures Kev!! I remember when the Queen came to the Cathedral for Maundy Thursday and we were told that although we were allowed access to the tower, we couldn't go on the roof. So we did. :Colorz_Grey_PDT_16:

It's a real shame that Liverpool Cathedral can't get their priorities right. Ever since they put the bells in, the accoustics have been really bad because the bells have the whole of the massive tower to echo around in before the sound comes out. They're regarded as the hardest peal to ring on if you're not used to the sound and depending on the wind depends on whether you can hear them outside!Quote:

If you think there is something wrong with the sound, trust me, there ain't! That is the very poor accoustics in the tower and it is what you hear! :eek:
