Get a good view from the top of it. Man, those lifts are small though when you go up them.

Went up there in 2004 and think you can see blackpool from up there. Can see most of Liverpool from up there anyway.![]()

't was a little hazy when I went up t'other week, Max. It would be best on a cold, crisp and sunny autumn day I believe.
Not too cold though. Although alot higher going up the Eifel on a cool day is even cooler when your higher up.
You still got some clear pics there though.![]()

It wasn't fun when they were building the new lifts over a few months and us crazy bell ringers
had to WALK up to the tower. The only fun part about that was coming down, you'd race down the stairs and hope you could stop before you got to the bottom.
Who needs a gym!
Since losing a bit of weight, I can bomb up those steps after exiting the second
lift![]()
I'm going to have to go up there myself soon - is it still open on Sundays?
I think the tower's only open for a
few hours on Sunday. Best give them a ring.
BTW, I took this pic from the tower quite a few years ago. Notice any changes?![]()

I hope
the guys in the clip had earplugs in, that would damage the hearing big time.![]()
You can always count on Americans to do the right thing - after they've tried everything else.

Had a trip at 11am this morning, spent an hour wandering around taking snaps, then off to the
tower with a couple of Germans crammed inside the tiny lift. The top was amazing although tricky to take pics as the slats are not that wide to allow clear
views. So the camera was slowly sqeezed past them and my hands placed around the slats, being very careful not to drop it!!!!!
The full set is
here.
