I think that sums it up really. That's why I do my own :)

I'd just like to thank Julie for the Murder Most Foul walk today. Excellently conducted :PDT11
Many thanks Mark. Thanks for your input on the Wallace case and looking forward to reading the book!
Julie
Thanks Julie
Here's some photos of the Chess Club (now an apartments) 24B North John Street.

On the Billy Butler show today Vincent Burke covered the Wallace Case. He made a few glaring errors (maybe because of his age!!) I hope he isn't reading this!! :) He is covering the second part in two weeks.
Thanks, Mark

Thanks Rod,
Yes. He also mentioned "Herbert Moore" (should be Hubert). Think he also stated that the collection money was upstairs and Wallace's personal money was downstairs - should be the other way round - but I suppose this could be argued - we only have Wallace's word for that.
Vincent burke has the look and the voice for these parts and I hope i'm not letting that cloud my judgement of him being generally good but like you say, he can make glaring errors and omitions which for murders cases are not good really. I don't think much of his round-up in his wallace case dvd (not a mention of parry anywhere) or his stance on capital punishment being that it certainly didn't prevent killings pre abolition as that is something we can never know.
I was disappointed with the DVD
I don't think I've seen it - I went to the Radio Merseyside shop but they didn't have it...
Don't think it was there either...
Great discussing the case today with Mark.:)
You will have to show me a pic of the steps you were talking about...
Great discussing it with you DC and lindylou too! I'd probably discuss it so much I'd have to be told to shut up :)
Here are some pics of the steps at the back /top of Letchworth Street & Sedley Street...
p.s. If you go to my flickr site they are better copies.
Can't remember whether I've posted this before - the Rawdon Library, Breck Road. Wallace use to frequent it.
no. 51 Sedley st where the dairy would have been. Alan Close the milk boy would have worked here.
There used to be access to the back of the buildings - we used to play around there when we were kids. The back area overlooks the swing park which still exists in Richmond Park.
Brilliant photos lindylou :handclap: Yes, that is where I think the dairy would have been. That building looks like it could have been but looks more modern - the brickwork on the front and back looks modern but the sides look original. But I believe you have the right place :handclap:
It wasn't still a dairy when I was growing up around there - but I do remember the back of the buildings - there was a cobbled area and some outhouses ( probably which would have belonged to the dairy). We used to go around the back of there to look over at the swing park :)
Mark, the Sedley st photos - keep them for your files if they are of any use to you.
