Problems with racists is that they dont or cant see where they are being racist.
Discussion ended.
Waterways I thought I was bad but you take the P***.
If people of Irish descent want to celebrate Irish culture what is the problem?
Gnomie never said they were the only ethnic group in Merseyside and he has said if other groups wish to celebrate their identitites he has no problem with that.
Your vehemence against the Irish seems to have a sectarian air about reminiscent of Orange order protests against any Catholic or Irish event.
Waterways, such comments can be extremely hurtful. A member of my family danced in Riverdance with Michael Flatley and took Irish music all over the world. Again, a member of Molly's family won the all Ireland Irish dancing championship. No mean achievement and she has medals by the score but is not ostentacious with them.
I myself have played Irish music on mandolin, banjo and guitar in many country's and I can assure you that while it may not :- be yer cuppa tea
It's far from being Diddly Dee
I have the tape made in Radio City music hall New York with Michael Flatley, I also have the one with Colin Dunne this is the one I prefer. To those who don't know, neither one are Irish, Flatley is American of Irish dscent and Dunne is from Birmingham of Irish descent.
