Does anyone remember this first attempt at a Beatle museum,in Seel st? It opened up in the early 80's,I think, but didn't last very long! The last time I passed, the building was headquarters of P.S.S.

Yes I do as I went in there. Funny thing is, I remember it being yellow not orange
Yep... what I remember about it was their replica of the Cavern.
It was too clean and air conditioned....
The stuffy atmosphere and sweat dripping from the ceiling was part of the ambiance of the original....
I also remember very few actual items from the Beatles themselves.
Was it on Slater St.?
It was near the bottom of Seel Street by the Rapid Hardware Pine centre which later housed the garden stuff. Not a patch on the current Beatles Story.
Keeping it real!

I went on the Beatles Tour in 2002.. Went into that building ..Looked like the yellow submarine (if I recall correctly) with the windows at that time... Then, in 2008 with Robbo and Lindalou..went to see the Ronnie Wood art exhibite in it.. Nice big art venue..
Ged,..anyone, do you know what happened to the exhibits, etc, when it closed? Was there any connection to the Beatles story? I think Ringo's Mini, was one I remember!
I think it's the same people but don't know for sure. I just remember the Beatles Story growing out of the earlier Beatle City.
I have a plastic shopping bag from there. There was a gift shop
