Steve Binns
This guy is blind and as I understand is also a local historian. Would like more info on him. As anyone ever met him?
He's a tour guide as well. he took us around the Town hall last year. He's very good and knows his stuff.
Went on a tour of the town hall today and Steve Binns was the guide he was fantastic and very interesting

In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king
I've been around the Town Hall and St George's hall on tours conducted by Steve Binns, he's a great guide. I think he's employed by Liverpool City Council, although I'm not 100% sure on this.
Met Steve today, doing a talk on Liverpool History / Old Swan, great historian.
has a website now:

You can listen to his talks here.
Had a chat with him too, with a few more questions thrown in, knows an awful lot about Liverpool and the surrounding areas.

Steve is great and an Evertonian too!
He came down Williamson's Tunnels a few years ago. He was amazed and his blindness didn't bother him one bit as he was feeling the texture of the walls all around him - something most people never do. Knew his history very well!
Heard Steve at St Georges Hall and on Radio Merseyside many a time. A brilliant knowledgeable man.
I had the pleasure of meeting Steve a week ago at a local history meeting, he certainly knows his stuff. A great guy!
