    Default Steve McMahon

Stephen McMahon (born 1961-08-20 in Liverpool) was one of the toughest midfield football players of his generation who galvanised the outstanding Liverpool team of the late 1980s. He has a son, Steve McMahon Jr, a defender who played for Blackpool and was loaned out to Kidderminster Harriers in 2004.

Born and raised locally, McMahon was snapped up as a boy by Liverpool's fierce rivals Everton and played for them as a teenager. He quickly established a reputation as a no-nonsense midfield player with a good deal of skill to complement his bravery and attitude.

Steve McMahon used to be my favourite Everton player when we had him,he was some player and when he went on to join Liverpool, the clashes in the derby between him and Peter Reid would make you cringe,he's a true legend.
