Looks like it could have been a fish and chip shop- potatoes and dripping the giveaway and in 1921 you would have got a few sacks of potatoes for 19/6

Been looking John but not heard of those buildings. Do you have the paperwork showing that address just in case anyone else can make better of it if it's handwritten?

Ah, Vaughan's Buildings was in the block on the Old Haymarket, demolished for the building of the Queensway Tunnel. I have a photo of that block, one shop sold Liverpool Mint Rock ;)

The neighbouring 'Cudbear Manufactory' was a factory that extracted a purplish dye which was obtained from orchil lichens.
