What great pics, especially of the Brown Cow pub. I recall it around 1964-65 as the first pub me and my mates got served in.The market trade had gone at night and we put the youngest lad (14) as a lookout on the door for any approaching policemen. When we were asked " What do you want" by the barman I froze and the only thing I could think of was " Four brown mixed, please". We sat down to drink and after a while our lookout came running in shouting "Coppers". We all raced out to the yard where the toilets were and climbed over. I don't know if there really was a policeman to this day.
    Cheers,
    Chas

    Scottie Rd 2011...

..... where today my niece lost her Iphone..
got home thinking that was that.....

Laura rang her own number, the young lad who answered knew Laura..
and brought her phone to her house.. and would not accept £20 Laura offered him..

Just mentioning this as there are bad, and good.. everywhere..
The good on Scottie Rd like this lad hardly get a mention.. so I'll do it.
