Default Review of 'In A City Living 3' in Daily Post 6 Jan.

There will be a special feature in tomorrows (6 Jan) edition of The Daily Post, on Ged Fagan's In A City Living book. Part 3 of his inner city trilogy, it covers the tenements in areas such as Wavertree, Toxteth, Speke and Garston. Ged has also made a scale model of Gerard Gardens where he grew up.

Nice one. Hopefully there'll be a DP online feature too. I'll keep an eye out

Thanks for the alert Paul, any excuse to get 'another' bad pic of me on the web - that should answer your question Kev. Thank you all for your support with the books, I haven't even seen the article myself yet, I was taxi-ing my girls from clubland at 5am then the Sky Engineer rang at 8am to say he'd be with me within the hour so I feel gozzonked - and all while the little mites sleep.

Birley baths ey. Does he mean Burroughs baths (complete with cockroaches). There is a pic of the water rats, the local lads who in the early 1900s used to skinny dip in the canal at Burlington bridge which was warmed by the Tate & Lyle flushings. I lived off Burly from 93 to 98 after Burroughs (originally a wash-house) had made way for the Kingsway Wimpey 'apartments'.

Hello little princess. Yes, it was situated in Burrough's Gardens which ran from Limekiln Lane by Eldon Grove to Bevington Hill. I've seen a pic of it knocking about on the web, i'll see if I can find it for him.
