Default Mersey night, sunrise and sun - set pics

No matter what I do, night time shots still look poor. Never mind. Took a couple tonite and had ideas of having a little snap-fest of local land marks lit up. However, everything was in darkness tonite apart from Paddy's Wigwam.

What does ScouserDave do to make his look so good?

Mine were only done with a camera phone.

    Could do some later.

Great shots Kev. Max, what mobile did use for the pics? Excellent quality. I've never ever taken a pic on my mobile. I can just about dial from it.

I quite like the effect of slightly unclear night views, we don't see as well at night so they look more real.

The story behind this pic is a laugh. It was April 2003 and I was mooching around St George's Hall and Wm Brown St taking pics, when a load of people started coming out of St George's Hall. I used to hate having people in my pics, so I was hanging around, camera in hand, waiting for them to dissapear when I heard the clip clop of hooves behind me. I had a brief bad acid flash and thought it was one of my old girlfriends, but soon realised it was Liverpool Mounted Police. They asked me why I was taking shots of the people departing from St George's Hall. I just laughed (but very annoyed) and asked what the f**k it had to do with them. It turned out that the crowd departing from St George's Hall were attending an anti Gulf War meeting. I calmed down, explained who I was and showed them the pics on my camera. I then jokingly demanded that I be allowed to take shots of them. They were great. By chance, I bumped into the guy on the right a year later.

Did you get stopped by police for taking pics of the mersey tunnel by there like I did?

He told me it was against regulations to do that.

He reckoned it was a stupid rule anyway.

Just the once. He was almost embarrassed telling me. He asked me if I had a zoom, winked and suggested I take the same pic a little further away. Nice guy
