A few years later I used to go to the Somali in upper Parliament street. It was a chilled late night club with a good mix of faces, they made a great curry there, the music was fine and Ali who was either the owner or manager, was a cool gentleman.

Anyone ever go to Rembrants, York st ? It was a good little club for the older clubbers. Small place with a tiny dancefloor. Had some nice times there during the 90s.
    I think it's a restaurant now.

Used to always hang around there and Rainford Square. Probe records stunk of what we called 'Wally juice' and Joss sticks. Pete Burns would be serving. The 2nd hand record shop a few doors up was Backtrax - lots of arty farty bohemian types - it helps makes the world go round.

Just found some old stuff in the loft.

The last one hardly qualifies for the thread title of legendary Liverpool clubs. I remember it as a real dive with some lousy bands. Happy days though. The above was an advert for The Naughty Lumps. I remember talking to them after they did their session and they gave me a scrap of paper with the list of numbers they were performing. One of them said "hang on to that, it'l be worth a fortune when we are famous". No idea what happened to them!

    Talking Clubs

My time was late 70`s, early 80`s, when we used to go to places like Reflections, Daleys Dandelion, Images, The Courtyard, The Gaslight, The Cumberland for the "Rock Night" on Fridays, and Jolenes!! I remember going to the Bier Keller every Fri & Sat night and watchin Groundpig do the best cover of Bob Dylans "The Hurricane" you will ever see!! I`m from Scottie Rd. and we used to go to The Lisbon and The Harrington Bar specifically to take the p--s out of the "clientele" who Freak-wented these bars!!!

Gilly - all those places you mention are exactly where I went. Johnny O'Connell and poor little Graham who died last year were sort of our mates (Johnnie's bro - Les, played in a group with me) Groundpig were called Riley originally in the early 80s. I bet i've seen yer face knockin' around. Like Gerard and a few more on here, i'm from Gerard Gardens - just down the road from Woody.
