Mart, my comments are not about Gerard's pics - my original comment was about the singling out of anyone who haven't joined in on some threads but do so on others. My point is, if people want to add to games threads - then that is their business
The football threads go on and on - - but that's their business so I leave 'em to it. If people don't look at other threads then that's their choice.

For me personally, if I appreciate someone's photo I just say so, and if the photo is particularly good it deserves a pat on the back
Also, I always thank pic of the day because it is manners to acknowledge a contribution that helps to keep the thread going.

I take part in the threads that interest me, so I'm in there to comment or thank.
On the other hand, there are quite a few threads I don't look at, ie; sports, football, the seafarers thread, wildlife thread, and maybe some more I can't think off the top of my head .. so I'm not in those threads to join in.
So logically, the same applies to other people doesn't it ?

As you know I've been the "victim" for a while by "one" of these prats..(yes,you know who am talking about). They stick out like a sore thumb yet they have no shame.

Tomorrow I'll be putting some very old Liverpool photographs on here..


These photographs have recently came into my possession..

I have never seen them before in any books.. or in the LRO archives..


They will have my copyright mark on them as I dont want them ending up everywhere..


If, and when somebody tells me who they belong to I will gladly credit the owner...
and remove them from YoLiverpool..

I'm just trying to find out who owns copyright to them...

They are wonderful photographs Marty..
some show the early stages of the Liver Building being built.
scaffolding around the lower floors... from different angles..

Some show some staging being floated up the Mersey into the Princes Half Tide dock..
others show ships and vessels on the Mersey...

A few views from on the OHR ....


I've had them about 12 months now and its about time I found out a little about them..
and I'd appreciate any help I can get..

.. and there are some on this forum that suffer the matey mate syndrome and also chronic amnesia !
