These pictures were taken at a Christmas party which was organised by the Sharon Fox centre, a really special project which helps families who have someone who is suffering from an incurable disease ,or are recently bereaved after the loss of a loved one. There was no age barrier, from babes in arms to the senior familiy members, people who suffering losses ,or illnesses, can be assured of being helped by those who have come through the pain themselves. When I was asked if I would like to act as Father Christmas for the day I jumped at the chance ,I was nervous as to what I might be confronted with, would it be mournful and quiet, would people be sad and unhappy? ...................It was one of the most wonderful days I can remember, everyone was enjoying themselves, they sat in little groups around tables, some making decorations, others playing with playdoh and some making exquisite little bracelets. Boys and girls of every age and mental capability were engrossed in their mutual tasks. This was the scene as I entered the hall, slowly the children became aware of my presence and I was soon surround by the happy and smiling throng. My jaded frame was rejuvenated by the power of their love and I spent one of the happiest afternoons of my life. One of the helpers took these pictures so I could be reminded of that wonderful day.
