I find Liverpool One a more complete experience than last year, as I felt it was a little soleless at the festive time. It probably is a bit 'cold' and devoid of a real atmostphere during chrimbo but I now enjoy the whole experience of going to Liverpool One with the wheel, shops, cinema and bars etc....
Keeping it real!

I took my pics at dusk, around 4.30 when it seems a bit more atmospheric around there. I was mightily impressed with how the whole area is looking now from what it was in the 70s - or even as a building site last year.
L1 has changed Liverpool for the better. It was well overdue. I think it will improve over the years attracting more life into the city. When I think of how it was just a few years ago. It was dire.
Needs a bigger mix of shops still, the majority of the shops in L1 are clothes shops.
Gididi Gididi Goo.
Had a drive down at the back today past ropewalks and the area is really taking off! Great to some quaint little shops and Evans Cycles which will be opening soon!

Talking of the ropewalks in general. My missus used to work for City lighting in Kent st many moons ago now. That area was desolate with Kent Gardens having been demolished. She later worked in the catering college in Back Colquit st - another tumbleweed area. Both of these now are vibrant with student accommodation, barsand restaurants.
