has anybody seen the design that won the bid to buy the site back in November last year.
The design scored 9/10 at the interviews.

Going back to the late 70's, I was first called to Kingston House to repair some disco equipment. There was a ballroom upstairs where visiting seamen and Liverpool girls could meet on a Friday/ Saturday nights. The building looked Victorian inside, a huge sweeping staircase leading to the ballroom. I remember the mission was run by Welsh clerics. In the late 80's they left to start a smaller mission in Crosby? http://www.missiontoseafarers.org/about-us/our-history
When I first saw the Coopers building I thought I was in the wrong place. No sign of the huge staircase. The inside had been completely gutted. It would be good to see some inside pics of the Mission and ballroom. Ged, I also had many a good day or night at Coopers, any chance of LRO pics?
Cheers,
Chas

The location of the Seamans Mission stuck in my memory because i knew my old Nin used to clean the entrance area there sometime in the Mid to late sixties.......on her knees with a bucket and a cloth......old fashioned style !
