Eldon Grove was on fire again a couple of weeks ago. Some pics here:

.
We went over to pick my husband Tommy's Mum up from Raymond Place, off Limekiln Lane to-day as we do most Sundays, and take her to ours "over the water".
On our way we drove up Trueman Street and took a look at no1, the merchants house.
Then later we took her back home and decided to have a trip down memory lane before we went home.
We drove past the flats on Eldon Grove, and what a shock to see those beautiful flats in such a state, its a crying shame to let them deteriorate so badly, how can the powers that be let this happen.
Onto Grosvenor Street to see what was left of St Joseph's Church, (where we married) and the school next door, that Tommy went to as boy, the memories came flooding back for him.
Around that area Comus St, Christian St, and Rose Place his old stamping ground, we even looked for the first pub he drank in the Pontac, but that no longer exists.
Anyway it was good to have a look around and we took our memories home with us.
All places close to my heart lesley. Well done to you and Tommy.

The place is wide open most of the time. I can only assume that whoever owns it is living in hope that the whole lot will finally be torched, thus releasing the land for development. At the moment its listed building status appears to be an impediment... So much for the Stop The Rot campaign!
