I'm dating this picture as 1967 because the Co-Op headquarters at Unity House have been demolished on Byrom Street as have the brewery, warehouses and slate Company on Hunter Street and I have a photograph of the former being demolished in 1966. The flyovers were partly up by 1968 and almost completed by 1969.

The snaking void that this demolition left was of course filled by the flyovers, the city bound one would be leading onto Dale Street pretty soon.
