Think I'd rather look through a haystack,Oudi
TM your best bet is reasearching old school photos in the LRO because they have a wide extensive archive, the net might be big but it ain't that big when it comes to a certain age and locality

Hi Tilly, some other ideas:
1. Post your photo on Genes Reunited, someone may have a similar photo of the school and recognised it?
2. Go to the LRO [undergoing major renovation at the moment, but opening a satellite office soon] and go through the photo archive.

3. The records of Pinnington Cottages may have survived? They could well have your grandfather's records, and where he went to live afterwards?
4. Contact a local historian with a special interest in schools? The site George posted would be a good place to start. http://liverpool-schools.co.uk/index.html
"I have never let my schooling interfere with my education."... ... ... Mark Twain.
I was especially interested in the pic of the Boaler St Infants 1911, because my dad lived in Mansell Rd ,born 1904 & went to Boaler St School , so he may have been one of those children depicted . Ron
Thanks for the extra ideas Gazza. As soon as I get the chance I'm going to plan a trip to the Records Office satellite.
Ron if you'd like to let me know your Dad's name, if I find any registers for Boaler Street when I'm at the records office I'll check if he was in Infants II in 1911 for you.
Regards
Tilly
