Sick of the photographs
of oil-slicked pelicans
from the Gulf oil spill,
the chat about culpability
of corporate executives
and playboy serial killers,
I wish instead just to dream
like Millais' "Bubbles" and wander
the rhododendron path
of a childhood park.
