This picture is looking up Eastbourne St from The top of William Henry St, Shaw St Park is just across the rd. You can see this position on the earlier photo with the two young girls, the same lamp is also in that one.

    Islington on my site. Pfft
I'm talking Soho street aea,Ged ie bottom of Stafford Street.

I used to work in Edmondson(Full swing lemonade) and got off the bus on london road a nd walked down stafford street and right down Soho Street to get to the place of work from the back entrance ie Birkette Street.
Anyway for the life of me cannot remember what was on Islington in that area and the only buildings that spring to mind is the four squares(Gardens) on or near Soho Street.

It's not Shaw Street Park. Shaw st park (officially Whitley Gardens) is well further south.

Not quite true George, Browside was the section of road that ran from Netherfield Rd at Anne Fowlers up towards Rupert Lane and the intersection of Everton Terrace. The steps along side the lockup are also called Browside on earlier pictures. The second picture is also Everton Brow, look at earlier maps of Everton. The little park is not Shaw St that is further along (see your own photographs).
