Maybe a drilling rig...there's been one around test drilling for a couple of years around that area. I don't know how these are transported on water. See if it looks anything like this:

Deprived of its unique dockland waters Liverpool
becomes a Venice without canals, just another city, no
longer of special interest to anyone, least of all the
tourist. Would we visit a modernised Venice of filled in
canals to view its modern museum describing
how it once was?

LIVERPOOL’S Malmaison is set to be stylish and sumptuous but designers have also paid tribute to the city’s three most important icons - The Beatles, The Liver Birds and football. more
I think the Malmaison Hotel looks great! A really unique design of the highest quality. A great addition to our waterfront! The number of unique buildings going up in Liverpool is amazing. Many other cities have similair looking buildings but Liverpool has a truly amazing selection of buildings that you really want to look at such as Unity, Beethams, Malmaison, Alexandra etc etc. Liverpool has always been a unique city and these new developments are keeping us unique, not making us look like just another city. Long may it continue!!!![]()
There is nothing special about any of them. None are iconic. Unity is about the best. Beethams are plain. The only decent building planned was Brunswick Quay, the rest are anywhere buildings
I wish I shared your view. I wish that was the case.Liverpool has always been a unique city and these new developments are keeping us unique, not making us look like just another city. Long may it continue!!!![]()
